The master resume
The Resume page holds the main document you import or build. You own its entries, wording, order, and contact details. Check the structure after an import, especially when the source document has unusual columns or headings.
Keep it useful as the starting point for future roles. Changing a role-specific version is a separate decision from editing this main document.
The fact bank
Some useful experience will not fit on your master resume. Interview answers can propose supporting facts, such as how you handled a failure or which part of a project you owned. Confirm them after reviewing their accuracy.
“Your experience” brings the career record together. The fact bank is the confirmed material outside your master resume. Confirming a fact preserves that material without silently inserting a new resume bullet.
A tailored version for one role
Quill uses confirmed experience to prepare a resume for a role you choose. Review the selection and wording on the desk. A fact useful for one posting may be less relevant to another.
A tailored document does not automatically replace your master. If a new contribution should become part of the main document, add it there through the explicit resume action and review the result.
Keep your record understandable
Separate work experience, projects, and supporting facts. Give each contribution the right context and ownership. Correct facts when you notice an error so future versions have an accurate source.
You decide which wording leaves the product. Review and export the document before submitting it yourself.
